On this blog you will find more detailed descriptions of how to present your mood and story boards http://ggroupdesign.blogspot.com.au/ . Read through it and make sure you present the best work you can.
On the subject of your millinery here are some photos of your work you are doing today, to learn more styles you can go online and find more styles... a good site for starters is http://tipnut.com/ribbon-flowers/, there are others. If you find a good one you can stick it in the comments below so others can see it as well. Be sure to look at last week and you will see Caleb's beading. We love it!

Millinery- 9/3/12
Today we did beading. It is pretty simple to do and quite fun. All you need to do is get yourself a collection of beads that look good together and some matching felt and thread. Use the thread double. Tie a big fat knot at the end of the thread and sew about 4 beads on at a time. Every so often do a knot stitch so if the thread breaks not all the beads fly off at the same time. These can be made into a brooch with a brooch back or used on garments as well as on hats or headpieces.
Thanks go to all the E people who were in class today for letting me photograph their work.

Cue Assignment
Next time we see each other (22nd March) I will be collecting your Cue diary and your Mood Board. By now you should have a theme chosen, a good title (make sure it is engaging and exciting. Titles such as "Romance" are not as much fun as "first kiss" or "Valentine", "Young love" etc, think outside the mainstream)
You need to choose a good font and either draw it yourself or print and apply. Here is a link to some copyright free fonts you might wish to use http://www.1001freefonts.com/CopyrightViolations.php here is another one that might even be better http://simplythebest.net/fonts/ .
Stick everything down using blu tack for now (you can stick it down properly later when we are both happy you have completed it to the best of your ability)
Remember to make everything as neat and accurate as you can and not to put too much fashion from other designers in or we will compare (possibly unfavourably).
You will be doing your spec sheet for your dress in class on the 22nd as well so make sure you have done plenty of design drawings in preparation for that.
I am looking forward to seeing this work. Enjoy Bendigo.

8th March E group design
These are the garments with a story from today's class. The first one is a shirt from Bianca's mother's wardrobe. It comes from the 1990s and was made by her grandmother from a circle skirt.
Draw front and back as a trade sketch and label with the date and annotate where necessary.
Close up of shoulder
Yoke and box pleat at the back

The following garment is a crochet cardigan belonging to Tamryn's mother. Tamryn could not tell us a lot about the garment so you will have to decide for yourself.
Do front view only

Welcome E (is for Excellent) Group
Hi there, I'm actually writing this while you are doing your headpiece drawings. Let me tell you a few things about how I intend to do this blog to make it useful to you. Here's dot points
- If you miss a class (unavoidably, this is not a correspondence course and attending class is really important to you doing well)... have a look here and at least some of the stuff we do in class should pop up in the week of the class. I will do my best and if you think I need to be reminded then go ahead and remind me.
- Useful resources will go up here, good websites, lists, bloggers will be linked through this blog.
- If you find something you want to share with the group then go ahead and add it to the comments. I would really appreciate it if you find something brilliant if you would share it.
- Examples of quality work- to help you understand the levels of attainment for grading or to make it clear what you should be doing.
I hope the blog is useful and if you have suggestions of things you want on there I would really love to hear from you .
One more thing, I would really like you to drop in often & check out what's here each week, it will deepen your learning at the time that suits you best.
Here is your first lot of links.
This first post is about where you are likely to find the most interesting links to inspire you and make you sound like you are up with the latest international trends. Here are some of my favourite fashion websites. Browse and enjoy, just remember always attribute and don't copy.
